Description: Glenfalloch, Gaelic for ‘hidden valley’, is a historical garden established in 1871. Located on the scenic Otago Peninsula, it is tranquil, beautiful, much loved and treasured as a special setting for notable celebrations. The garden covers 30 acres and was saved by Otago Peninsula Trust in 1969 for everyone to enjoy.
- Enjoy the peace and tranquillity and the panoramic harbour views.
- Listen to the ripple of Russell Creek and the harmony of the native birdlife symphony with tui, bellbirds, and fantails singing.
- Walk among the rhododendrons, azaleas, magnolias, fuchsias and a profusion of other flower species which integrate with native ferns, exotic imports and indigenous New Zealand trees.
- Meet a 1000 year old Matai Tree and admire our stunning autumn colours.
- Events throughout the year during Dunedin festivals, including the famous Gnaughty Gnome Hunt.
Glenfalloch Garden and Restaurant is only a 15-minute scenic drive from Dunedin City. Glenfalloch enjoys a microclimate that extends the seasons and nurtures growth. Take time to wander around the Garden or enjoy a Guided Tour (minimum of 10 pax) We can cater for any size of celebration, weddings, parties, conferences and events. Glenfalloch has the reputation of being Dunedin’s leading and preferred private restaurant for personal celebrations and is in the top 10 of Dunedin City dining. The restaurant is nestled within the garden and well-positioned to offer your guests a relaxed dining experience in a superbly beautiful setting.

Admission: Glenfalloch Garden is open daily 8am- dusk. Entry by donation.
